Cheap import of PU leather from China, had been a matter of concern to Jasch Industries Ltd for quite some time. The scene has changed now. Persistent efforts by the stakeholders, including the Company, have borne fruit. The Department of Revenue, Govt. of India, has issued a notification No. 14/2022-Customs (ADD) dated 20 May 2022 imposing antidumping duty on all imports of PU leather originating from China, barring only one Chinese manufacturer. The above notification will make imported PU leather costlier in India and will provide the Company with a level playing field. As a result, the company expects a significant increase in sales volume of PU leather manufactured by it. Shares of JASCH INDUSTRIES LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs. 157.15 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 152.70. The total number of shares traded during the day was 5289 in over 189 trades. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 163.90 and intraday low of 154.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 830814.00.
